Enrollment at Wasatch Charter School
A lottery will be held to randomly award seats at WWCS for spots that become available for the next school year.
Parents may submit an application for enrollment by clicking the link on this page, for the year you are interested in.
In accordance with Utah state law, applications may be made available several years in advance. Also in accordance with state law, Wasatch Charter School will accept applications and run an early lottery for kindergarten / the lowest incoming grade, roughly 18 months in advance, in February. Lotteries to award seats for all grades, including any seats remaining in the lowest incoming grade, will be run in February for the following school year (roughly 6 months in advance). Additional lotteries will be run on an ongoing basis as needed, following the initial lottery draw. Parents will be notified after the initial lottery that their child has been given a waiting list number, and may be contacted at any time after March if a seat is available. Please note: state law does not allow a charter school to carry over a waiting list from one year to the next. If your child does not get into our school one year, and you are interested in applying again for the next year, you must complete a new application for the new school year.
Prior to submitting an application, it is recommended that parents attend a school tour to learn more about the Wasatch Charter School curriculum and approach. School tours are offered the first Tuesday of each month during the school year (barring school breaks) at 9:00 am.
After the lottery is run each year in February, you may still add your student to the waiting list by clicking the link above for the appropriate school year. Families will be notified by email or phone if a spot becomes available for their student. Notifications may come at any time, on a rolling basis, as space becomes available.
